Founded by Frank Marra in 1926, Central City Auto Parts began on North Franklin Street with a small investment. Frank purchased inexpensive cars, sold their parts, and recycled scrap materials, steadily growing his inventory to 3,000 vehicles. During WWII, the business faced strict government regulations requiring extensive documentation and scrapping of usable vehicles to support war efforts. Frank helped establish the National Auto Wreckers Association and later the NYS Auto and Truck Dismantlers Association (now Automotive Recyclers Association of NY), serving as president from 1963-64. His son Pat joined in 1952, eventually becoming president in 1971 when Frank retired. Pat also served as president of the state association. Urban renewal prompted relocation to Central Square, NY. Today, under third-generation Patrick's leadership, the company maintains its 77-year commitment to quality parts, experienced staff, environmentally responsible practices, and customer dedication.
CCAP is situated on 15 acres in the scenic village of Central Square. With it’s rich history and dedication to both the community and environment , CCAP has been able to plant the seed of a symbiotic friendship in it’s new home. With it’s 3 bay state of the art dismantling shop, the 2,500 sq. ft. of showroom and offices, over 50,000 sq. ft. of warehousing, and it’s express delivery fleet, CCAP is suited to fit you!
Central City Auto Parts processes over 300 vehicles annually. Each vehicle goes through a rigorous 20 point dismantling process. Engines are run and components are tested prior to being pulled. All fluids are evacuated and used or disposed of in an environmentally friendly matter. All burnable fluids are run through a waste oil furnace. Anti-freeze is sold and all other fluids are removed from CCAP by waste management. All parts are cleaned and re-tested. After a third inspection, parts are given a bar code tag and placed on one of our many categorized parts racks. This assures the customer that when they purchase a part from CCAP, chances of launch pad failure are minimal. Why buy new, when used will do!
